Australský bloger Tyral Dalitz, (29) vyrazil ze Sydney a dorazil do San Diega o 976 dní později. Do cíle dorazil auty, vlaky, motocykly a autobusy, pěšky a autostopem.

Cestovatel se vydal z Austrálie do Ameriky - přes 50 zemí - a ujel přes 80 000 kilometrů, aniž by šlápl na palubu letadla.

Epická cesta trvala téměř tři roky a stála ho 22 000 dolarů. Tiral pracoval na farmě, aby vydělal peníze.

Vybral si tak obtížnou cestu, protože si chtěl výlet užít, ne jen cíl.

Říká, že ujel více než 80 000 kilometrů a plánuje pokračovat v cestě, ke zděšení jeho přítelkyně Hannah Altschwagerové, kterou devět měsíců neviděl.

Conquered the Atlantic Ocean! This year has already started off as a pretty awesome and adventurous one, kicking off the year sailing off the coast of Portugal preparing ourselves and the boat for an approaching storm. Three days of some hectic sleepless sailing that was pretty different to the tropical calm waters of Indonesia, I spewed my guts up once but somehow survived. It took us 12 days to get to the Canary Islands where I finally enjoyed some warmth again after the bullshit cold of London. From there we sailed across the Atlantic, sailing the whole way pretty much with the spinnaker (a pretty good feat in the sailing world apparently) arriving in Antigua 17 days later. Considering before I started this journey I had zero sailing experience, feeling pretty chuffed to now have sailed across my first ocean. Not just on any boat either but probably the coolest boat possible with the best crew imaginable apart of the most epic project ever (more on that later, it deserves its own post). Safe to say this year is looking like its going to be another bloody good one, possibly the best yet. Only frustrating point to share, after traveling for 2.5years all the way from Australia to Europe carrying a fishing rod that I rarely used and even more rarely caught any fish with, of course I managed to leave it behind in France on my squat before moving my life back onto a boat. Massive fail. "Oaklands, na východním pobřeží Austrálie, kde jsem vyrostl, má 300 obyvatel. Nemám tam co dělat, takže jsem vždycky chtěl odejít, “říká Tiral.

"Od chvíle, kdy jsem vyrazil na cestu, jsem se opálil, zhubl a získal mnoho přátel. Byl to neuvěřitelný zážitek.

Největší lekcí, kterou jsem se z toho všeho naučil, je to, že všude jsou dobří lidé: v každé situaci jsem potkal někoho, kdo mi chtěl pomoci.“

Crossing the border between Belarus and Ukraine took a bit of convincing to the camo dressed guards I was actually me. We then had to walk the 1k between countries on foot. With no one around we took the opportunity to snag some sneaky photos. Behaving like a couple of idiots, hannah cart wheeling over the border while I attempted my best 'slug'. It wasn't until we finally kept walking we spotted the huge guard tower with a solider standing behind a massive pair of binoculars pointing right at the crossing. Whoops. Lucky behaving like idiot tourists isn't enough to be denied entry into Ukraine. Plavil se z Austrálie přes Indonésii, Singapur, Malajsii a Thajsko, Laos a Kambodžu a jezdil svém motocyklem po celém Vietnamu.

Odtud jel do Číny a Mongolska, potom vlakem jel do Petrohradu. Poté putoval po Evropě po dobu 12 měsíců, navštívil 33 zemí a dorazil do Londýna na Štědrý den.

Tam našel na Facebooku tým, který se chystal vydat přes Pacifik do Ameriky. Cestovali na Kanárské ostrovy, Karibik a Panamský průplav v Mexiku a nakonec Tiral skončil v San Diegu v Kalifornii, kde je nyní.

"Zpočátku jsem jen chtěl jet do Londýna bez pomoci letadla. Našel jsem pár v důchodců který potřeboval pomoc na lodi a opustil Austrálii s nimi. Pak jsem nastoupil na jinou loď a pak na jinou loď - všechno se rychle vyvíjelo."

"Svět není tak děsivý, jak to chtějí ukázat," říká cestovatel.
